So now Sam has left. Four out of the original six of us remain. My last exam, the horror known as Sociolinguistics, is tomorrow and I feel.. relieved. Muz will be coming tomorrow too so I get lots of cuddles instead of post-exam stress.

The next week will be good. By this time next week I will have packed up and gone back home to the horrible South East of England. No more Wales until next September. No more Aberystwyth sunsets and running around on the beach, no more sheep field as a back garden. I feel.. really sad about that. 


I'm really going to miss it. Really. Despite all the middle-of-nowhere and the five hours of train journey every time I want to see Muz, despite waking up and smelling sheep, despite some of the crappy people.. I don't want to go.

At least it's not for forever.

Went into town and bought nice things for Muz today :) Can't wait to see him, really, it's been three weeks or something stupid like that. I miss him.

I've been trying to sort through my things, and work out how the hell I have three bottle of shampoo open at one go, all of the same sort. Working out how the hell to pack my V mask without getting it squished, working out where the hell I put the box all the fridge magnets go in. Wondering how I acquired so MUCH rubbish this year simply by existing.

I found a glow-stick I never used. Heh. I want to crack it now but it'd be pointless. But pretty. It's a pink one.
I also have three lots of post-it notes?
And far more books than I came with.

Ugh, suppose I should go back to revising.

So I have a few minutes before the final Apprentice Wednesday of this year with Sam and Scott starts, and I want to randomly update my livejournal with some thoughts.

-Firstly, people finishing exams and leaving. It's all end-of-an-era style, and it's a little scary, to be honest.
-Secondly, exams nearly over. Last one on Friday!
-Thirdly, two days until Muz comes :)

Leftovers still to guess from the film quote meme, plus a couple of hints.

6 - An innocent prisoner will become more angry by the hour due to the injustice suffered. He will shout and rage. A guilty prisoner becomes more calm and quiet. Or he cries. He knows he's there for a reason. The best way to establish guilt or innocence is non-stop interrogation.

This is a German film, won an Oscar for best foreign language film. It's set pre-reunification. It's utterly amazing.

13 - Dreams die hard and you hold them in your hand long after they have turned to dust.

This film is a kids film, one of my guilty pleasures. It's live action, but pioneered some computer effects that are seen as standard nowadays. Starring Sean Connery.

15 - A life lived in fear is a life half lived.

WHAT THE HELL. I can't BELIEVE no one's got this yet. Best film ever. Australian film, one of the first filmed by a pretty damn famous director. He likes curtains.

And because I'm bored, here's some blabbering about the other films that have been guessed. If you haven't seen one of these, I strongly reccomend it. Especially Joyeux Noel and The Hours.

1 - Return of the Jedi -- It's a classic. What more can I say?

2 - X-Men 2 -- the best X-Men film, in my opinion. It has superheroes. It has feelings. I love it.

3 - Rent -- I only watched this for the first time the other day. Wow. Just wow.

4 - Ratatouille -- I adore this. Best Disney-Pixar film yet, I think. I have a Remy toy and poster already, less than two weeks after first seeing it.

5 - Joyeux Noel -- a film in three languages, that makes me smile and cry, with actors like Daniel Bruhl, Diane Kruger and the man who was the dad in Billy Elliot. It's incredible.

7 - Serenity -- if a film's tagline is "They Aim to Misbehave" and it's in space and has Mal and River and Simon and Kaylee and Inara and Wash and Jayne and Zoe and and and.. yeah. Great stuff!

8 - Little Shop of Horrors -- let's get the composer from Beauty and the Beast.. make a musical out of a cult B-movie about a man-eating plant. Genius. I have a copy of the original black and white film too, which was Jack Nicholson's first ever role. It cost £1. Best £1 I've ever spent.

9 - V for Vendetta -- I love this. The actors are incredible, the story makes me think and cry and smile, and some of the lines are just incredible. <3

10 - Hot Fuzz -- great fun :D

11 - Elf -- I love this film. It's cute and funny and Zooey sings and it's so beautiful. It gets ridiculously cheesy towards the end, but the first hour makes up for that.

12 - The Hours -- it's a beautiful film. The score and the story are heartbreaking, the acting is incredible, especially from Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore. The first time I saw this I was just gobsmacked. Gorgeous film <3

14 - Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves -- you know I'm cool really. When I was a kid this was my favourite film EVER. I can watch it over and over and never get tired of it.

I really haven't made anything icon-y in months, so here's a tiny dump of what little I've done that isn't the heroes_icons100 table.

Includes various singers, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Mila Kunis, Rent, Tori Amos, Heroes, Wicked, The West Wing and all sorts. But there's no guarantee of more than one icon of each person/fandom, hence why they're in my personal journal and not my graphics one. only 26 in total heh.

 

I feel so ill and it's completely my fault :(

In other news, Angie - the CD came!! Thank you soo much, I love the little shiny stickers and the letter was so cute too! (dated 29th October -- the post here is RIDICULOUS) and yaaay thank you so much!
